Writing Class: Writing Outside the Box

WRITING OUTSIDE THE BOX

Were you a kid who always colored outside the lines? Or do you wish you were encouraged to do so? Maybe you’re struggling with a particular story or essay and need a completely different way to look at it. Join this class to learn how to break out of the traditional narrative box. All stories and essays are different, and therefore don’t require the same structure. Maybe your story is best told through a bureaucratic document, or a PowerPoint presentation, a mix tape, a series of recipes, or another piece of ephemera. We’ll leave behind standard prose structure and explore alternative forms for telling your best story, and expanding your imaginative boundaries.
For fiction and nonfiction writers.
